About Me
Hi, I’m Hannah!
I’m a photographer based in Boston, Massachusetts. I have also lived in Chapel Hill, Raleigh, San Diego and Tampa.
Photography has always been an important part of my life. I shot thousands of photos while serving as photo editor of my high school yearbook, covering clubs, sports, editorial and more. The yearbook room was where I learned how to shoot on manual and play with different settings. In college, I continued my interest—minoring in photojournalism, working with a pro-bono photography organization, and taking lots of graduation photos.
Lifestyle photography is my specialty. After the loss of a friend in college, I have a newfound appreciation of how photos capture an ordinary moment in time.
I shoot digitally, but have expanded to film in the past three years. I prefer natural lighting and minimal editing and I don’t shoot with super fancy equipment—just a Nikon Z5 (recently updated from the D5300 I owned for 10 years) and (usually) a 50mm f/1.8 lens.
In 2023, two of my goals were to:
Set up my photography portfolio
Bring my camera around my everyday life more
In 2024 and 2025, I am working on “creating more than consuming.” Whether that is taking photos, scrapbooking, drawing, decorating, baking… I would like to spend less time on screens and lean into my creative endeavors.
My hope is that by making this portfolio, I revitalize my photography and find new ways to get involved in the photography community.
Outside of photography, I work full-time in digital marketing. I love to read, make new playlists, and go to hot yoga. Decorating my house with secondhand finds is another guilty pleasure (a small dream is to make it on Apartment Therapy).
